A simulation metamodel for response-time planning

Article Abstract:

A simulation-based metamodel was developed to address a problem related to response-time planning. The model, which precisely illustrate the relationship between service call characteristics, operational characteristics, system performance and customer requirements, promotes awareness among managers regarding the presence of opportunities in the way calls are discharged. It is also found to be useful in the formulation and confirmation of yearly and quarterly manpower plans.

Four chastised in travel-office report

Article Abstract:

White House Chief of Staff Tomas F. McLarty III issued a report Jul 2, 1993, on the firings of the White House travel staff in May, 1993. The report found four staffers, Catherine Cornelius, David Watkins, William Kennedy and Jeff Eller, acted improperly by firing the staff.

Live dictation is used to teach business communication and shorthand skills. The simulation prepares shorthand students for office style dictation. A relevant simulation experience makes shorthand education more effective.
