Back on the shelf

Article Abstract:

Deutsche Bank AG is attempting to sell Australia's Bankers Trust Funds Management for the second time, but potential bidders are now taking a closer look. Westpac walked away from buying both the funds manager and the investment bank of Bankers Trust Australia, but Westpac is in the running for the funds manager with ANZ Bank, National Australia Bank, and Principal Group. BT Funds Management is expected to sell for less than $2 billion. However, many financial consultants have put BT funds on "hold," meaning BT clients are likely to wait until the sale begins to start trading BT funds.
