The details of some important announcements, like the release of an antimicrobial molecule by the West Australian biotechnology company Chemeq, and the plan of McDonald to stop buying and serving meat from animals that have regularly been fed antibiotics, are presented. The antimicrobial molecule invented by Chemeq has a capability to kill the so-called superbugs or germs that were resistant to other anti-bacterial agents.
