Build-to-order supply chain management: a literature review and framework for development

The details on the Build-to-order supply chain management (BOSC) strategy for a product, to meet the requirements of individual customers in software companies in United States are discussed. A literature review on the research methodology, implementation and the development of BOSC, with the help of framework is also discussed.

Impact of eBusiness technologies on operational performance: the role of production information integration in the supply chain

Article Abstract:

eBusiness technologies have no direct positive effect on operating performance, but they do support customer and supplier integration in the supply chain. Supplier integration provides benefits to quality, flexibility, cost and delivery performance. The interaction between customer and supplier integration is also studied.

Responding to schedule changes in Build-to-order supply chains

Article Abstract:

The reaction strategies used by the suppliers to respond to short-term dynamics in Build-to-order (BTO) supply chains in microcomputer industries of United States are explored. The methodology, literature review and the study of the different reaction strategies in the BTO supply chain are also discussed.
