Cash crisis in newly public Internet-based firms: an empirical analysis

Article Abstract:

An analysis of the performance of Internet-based firms is presented examining the reasons why some of them perform well after offering securities to the public and the other struggle even after initial public offerings. The effects of top management team, financial position, agency relationships etc., are analyzed for the purpose. Reduction of equity holdings by entrepreneurs before the initial public offerings was one indication of impending cash crisis.

Fruitful Loop: Online Ad Firms Offer New Products

Article Abstract:

DoubleClick and MatchLogic plans to release new reporting products for online advertisers. DoubleClick's "Dart", "DataBank" and "Boomerang" products allow advertisers to manage ad traffic, track users' patterns and maintain relationships with users after they leave the sites. MatchLogic's TrueSelect is designed to accommodate ad targeting on the Internet.
