Choosing research priorities by using the analytic hierarchy process: an application to international agriculture

The analytic hierarchy process as a decision-support tool is examined, using the experiences of the Swiss Centre for Agriculture (ZIL) as an illustration. The process involves establishing potential decision criteria and alternative research areas, weighting criteria, and prioritizing results against the organization's next program phase.

A study examining which kind of knowledge helps in making the most of technologies in corporate incubators is presented. The different types of knowledge were identified as entrepreneurial knowledge, organizational knowledge, technological knowledge, and complimentary market knowledge.
