Clitheroe's money maker avoids the full Monty

Article Abstract:

Australia's IPAC Securities has stopped research houses from providing fund performance data to the media, and one reason may be IPAC's weak returns on the funds or possible misinterpretation of statistical data. In the equities sector in the year to June 30, 1999, IPAC lagged behind the All Ordinaries index by 3.71% in the domestic category and by 7.51% in the international category. IPAC founding director Paul Clitheroe relied on performance tables to assess merits of other fund managers on his financial television show.
