Could lean production job design be intrinsically motivating? Contextual, configurational, and levels-of-analysis issues

Article Abstract:

The possibility of lean production jobs being intrinsically motivating is examined. By employing the Job Characteristics Model, the empirical association between job characteristics and motivational upshots in lean production is examined.

From chain to demand chain: the role of lead time reduction in improving demand chain performance

Article Abstract:

The theory of supply and demand chain management, shows that lead time reduction, precedes the use of market mediation. An attempt, to improve the lead time reduction, and transfer of information would help a demand chain perform better.

Applying operations management logic and tools to save lives: a case study of the world health organization's global drug facility

Article Abstract:

With the help of an action research project involving the world health organization (WHO), it is demonstrated that basic operations management theory can be extremely useful in a not-for-profit intergovernmental organization setting.
