Critical chain project management improves project management

Article Abstract:

A substantial step in improving the Project Management Body of Knowledge could be contributed by critical chain project management (CCPM). Project plans are improved by CCPM by ensuring its feasibility and immunity from reasonable variation which is uncertainty or statistical fluctuations. This is done through aggregation of uncertainty into buffers which protect the completion of the project at the same time enhancing measurement and project protocol decision making.

Article Abstract:

Naval shipyards are using an empowered interdisciplinary project team to improve project management and cost and revenue management. The team is led by a project leader and is supported by the Advanced Industrial Management Program, a work breakdown structure designed to facilitate the management process, with focus on the internal organization and less on the customer.

Critical success factors of the construction management service in the dual-role contract

Article Abstract:

Dual role contracting is increasingly being used on the construction industry. It allows the general contractor to act both as the the construction manager and general contractor. The alternative role allows for increased efficiency and reduced costs for the owner of the project. It also results to the speedy and successful completion of the project.
