Directors' salvation hinges on right insurance cover

Article Abstract:

Corporation directors may wish to consider directors and officers (D&O) insurance as a means to protect themselves against risk and litigation. D&O insurance complements professional indemnity (P&I) insurance, which covers a company for the acts of its employees (including directors) in relation to business it conducts with third parties. D&O insurance covers the activities of directors and officers relating to the management of the company. D&O policies are usually divided into two categories: company reimbursement and direct cover.

Yandal has 21 days from the order date to pay or GCM shareholders can reverse their decision to sell. It is ASIC's duty to enforce the Corporations Law.
