Functional background identity, diversity, and individual performance in cross-functional teams

Article Abstract:

An examination of relationship between functional background identity, dissimilarity, and an individualEs performance in a cross-functional team is done. The study finds that members of a functional background minority feel discouraged from engaging in behaviors that will benefit their team because they are perceived as weak performers regardless of their course of action thus contributing to the demography and identity literature.

Transformational leadership, conservation, and creativity: Evidence from Korea

Article Abstract:

An investigation on the role of followersE value in the relationship between transformational leadership and follower creativity using sample of 290 employees and their supervisors from 46 Korean companies is done. Results reveal that transformational relationship and the interaction were significant in contributing to intrinsic motivation and creativity.

Secondhand brokerage: Evidence on the importance of local structure for managers, bankers, and analysis

Article Abstract:

The network associations with performance and secondhand brokerage benefits are analyzed. The results have shown that social capital of brokerage is a local phenomenon mirrored in the Austrian market metaphor's emphasis on tacit, local knowledge.
