Software eases unclaimed property hassles

Article Abstract:

Reporting unclaimed property is laborious work for corporate tax and accounting departments because it usually involves inconsistent regulations, deadlines and report formats. Fortunately, software developers have started to introduce software packages designed to help accounting professionals better manage abandoned property. One such program is Chesapeake System Solutions Inc's Unclaimed Property Compliance System (UPCS). It provides complete reporting requirements for unclaimed property in all 53 US jurisdictions, and allows users to produce separate files and reports for individual reporting jurisdictions. The program offers flexibility and can be easily customized and combined with a company's extant accounting systems.
