Article Abstract:

Richard E. Kelly of Clipper Belt Lancer Co. is a man in perpetual motion. Sales have doubled to six million dollars in the six years he has been president. R. Kelly started with the company in 1965 as a cost accountant. Unlike most accountants, he values and courts publicity. The company which produces industrial belt fastening systems, appreciates its employees individuality. R. Kelly believes in professional organizations and in a commitment to continuing education which he feels keeps management abreast of current trends.

Management Principles Revisited - or How Dad Ran His Grocery Store

The same basic management principles apply to businesses of all sizes and complexity. Complex resource planning models are in effect only being keenly aware of customer's needs. The application of current management skills were in force by the successful managers of yesteryear. Some current mangers would do well to know their market like shop owners of a generation ago.
