IBM's commitment to project management

Article Abstract:

Project management tools and methods are creating improvements on IBM's manufacturing and development divisions. The firm's use of project management practices in its software divisions has resulted in a reduction in error rates and in development expenses per product. Enhancement in schedule achievements, meanwhile, has been attained by the computer firm in its hardware divisions. IBM attributes the continued loyalty of its customers to the firm's strong commitment towards enhancing the project management capabilities of its managers.

Do IT professionals need business acumen to build effective partnerships

Article Abstract:

A study examining the necessity for the IT professionals to understand their client's business in depth before coming up with a solution is presented. Suggestions are also given on methods of developing better partnerships between IT professionals and their clients.
