Keating announces republic committee

Australian Prime Minister Keating announced the creation of the Republic Advisory Committee, a panel of 10 members who would help Australia change from a constitutional monarchy to a federal republic. The committee would report its conclusions by Sep 1, 1993.

Keating defends troops' honor
