Who's watching the web?

Article Abstract:

The potential of Internet/World Wide Web advertising is huge, and the industry is seeking a standard by which to measure/analyze visits to a particular web site. The concept of using "hits" as a method of Internet traffic measurement is being replaced by "reach," a concept that attempts to analyze the nature, rather than the volume, of Web site visits.
