Moody's investment rating on Mexico

Article Abstract:

Issues concerning Moody's Investor Service's annual report on Mexico are examined. Topics include the investment grade Baa3 country-ceiling rating and the Ba1 foreign currency bank deposit rating, predictions that Mexican economic cycles will be dependent on US cycles, and that ratings will be stable as long as Mexico responds adequately to economic change.

Mexico's economic slowdown continues, but recovery is near

Mexico has been in an economic slump since late 2000, but there are signs that this slowdown may end soon. However, Mexico's economy is closely tied with the United States and recovery must start there.
