Model portfolios: recent development

Article Abstract:

A discussion on the developments of stocks and their position in the three model portfolios is presented. Portfolio I discusses the market rating of New York Community shares as it deals with stocks with above-average year-ahead price potential, Portfolio II presents data validating the addition of DuPont to its stock and Portfolio III which has stocks with long term price growth potential discusses its continued favorability of Hormel foods stocks.

Timely stocks with high price and earnings momentum

Article Abstract:

The Value Line Timeliness Ranking System identifies stocks that are likely to outperform the year-ahead market with the help of share prices and earnings momentum and a list of stocks fulfilling these criteria is presented. The timeliness, relative price performance, beta coefficients and valuations of stocks in this roster are also presented for guiding investors.

Model portfolios: recent developments

A study is conducted to analyze long-term potential of stocks in terms of price growth, income and price appreciation as well as growth potential by segregating under portfolio I, II, and III respectively. Factors considered for stock selection include its timeliness, safety rank, and its 3- to 5-year appreciation potential.
