The authors look over some of the recent NAFTA events. They include the passing of a Caribbean-Africa trade bill by the United States Congress, how FTAA is doing towards implementing their goals, a protest by environmentalists groups against NAFTA. and cases by cement beef and lumber industries.

NAFTA round-up

Mexican President Vincente Fox met with US leaders about several trade issues, including sugar industry access to the US market and the North American Development Bank. Trade rules about softwood lumber imported from Canada and future trade agreements are also discussed.
