Need more cash to finance business growth?

Article Abstract:

Asset-based lending may be the ideal loan package for companies that experience potential losses due to a rapid growth in sales. If a manufacturer is faced with such a predicament, old customers will tend to look for other suppliers and this may further discourage new customers. Asset-based lending can provide a growing company with the elbow room to expand and meet orders and avoid a backlog. This type of loan provides a revolving line of credit against the value of the companies liquid assets.

The right way to borrow from or lend money to your business

Article Abstract:

Taking out a personal loan from a company is not a simple matter even if the person borrowing money owns the company. The IRS does not classify the fund transfer as a loan but, instead, considers it as income subject to tax on the part of the borrower. Certain rules have to be observed to avoid getting into a tangle with the IRS. The loan must be duly approved by the board of directors through a resolution and entered into the company's books as company asset.
