November jobless rate drops to 7.2%

Article Abstract:

The unemployment rate fell to 7.2% in Nov 1992, a decrease from 7.4% registered in October. A net total of 105,000 nonagricultural jobs were created in Nov 1992. Overall civilian employment reached 118.05 million, while 9.2 million people were jobless.

June jobless rate edges up to 7%

The national unemployment rate increased from 6.9% in May 1993 to 7% in June 1993, according to the Labor Dept. Statistics on the labor market, spending on new construction and the purchasing managers' index are provided.

The unemployment rate declined from 7% in Apr 1993 to 6.9% in May 1993, according to the Labor Dept. The civilian work force increased from 118.4 million in Apr 1993 to 119.3 million in May 1993.
