POM research productivity in U.S. business schools

Article Abstract:

Analysis of the number of publications by people involved in the production and operations management (POM) field and those connected to business schools resulted in the formulation of a ranking system whose two principal criteria were productivity and quality. The years covered by the survey were 1989-1993. The findings merely show where the centers of publishing were located and does not provide guidance to prospective POM students as to the best schools to enroll in.
