Precision instrument industry

Article Abstract:

Shipments for the precision instrument industry increased 5.5% for the qtr ended Mar 31, 1998, and growth is also forecast for 1998 and 1999, as well. The need for measuring and testing devices on a worldwide basis is a good sign, although economic factors are varied as the industry is diverse. Industry earnings will be strong, though modest, in 1998, and conservative investors should investigate other stocks for commitment.

Precision instrument industry

Article Abstract:

The precision instruments industry is expected to do well financially between 1997 and 2002. Industry shipments have increased only 2% in 1997 when compared with 5% in 1996 but better economic conditions in Europe, the Pacific Rim and Latin America could increase US sales anyway. Modest sales gains during 1997 will make this industry a good investment for adventurous investors.
