Bob Baker and Jim Watson started their own freight business intent on selling their new strategy - low prices for deliveries that were not overnight. They figured that not everybody wanted their packages immediately. At first the way they figured the business would go failed, and they had to modify their business plan. Then, they successfully bid on a Motorola contract for inbound freight business, and they found their niche. Skyway acquired the business of tens of thousands of small shippers by selling its services to several hundred major corporations. Skyway can maintain tight control of its costs as they handle only inbound freight; they only pick up freight from a supplier to one of their customers and they will not take on new business which thay cannot handle from one of their terminals. They are now going to expand their very successful air freight to the ground, and they tell their customers to just let Skyway know when they need something from their vendors, and Skyway will make sure its there.

Should the Mississippi files have been reopened?
Article Abstract:
The files of the State Sovereignty Commission in Mississippi contained many names of folks in support of segregation. Two views are offered on whether having access to these records will be beneficial in seeking justice or an attempt to revisit an ugly past which the community is trying to forget.
