Raising the ante on team learning

Article Abstract:

There are many obstacles to effective learning within teams. These include time pressures, unwillingness to deal with conflict, an excess of information and lack of time or inclination to review mistakes. Teams are frequently under great pressure to complete specific tasks, and this can overshadow a broader learning process. Teams must set aside specific time for learning if they are to balance learning needs and task needs effectively. Many practical benefits can result from making a team more efficient in managing learning.
