The new chairman and CEO, Douglas D. Danforth, of Westinghouse Electric Corp. presents his goals and objectives for the company. Mr. Danforth's management strategy involves maintaining the diversity of Westinghouse by investing in growth businesses. Mr. Danforth has high expectations of his managers and prefers them to take risks instead of sitting back and doing nothing.

NTT Pact Promises $$$

Article Abstract:

The renewal of the telecommunications pact between the United States and Japan was a move towards easing the trade relationship between the two countries. The United States pact with Japan's Nippon Telgraph & Telephone Public Corp (NTT) has benefits for the United States. The United States is waiting to see how determined Japan is to make this agreement work.
