Spillovers and governance: An analysis of knowledge and reputational spillovers in information technology

Article Abstract:

The main aim of the study conducted is to integrate transaction cost theory and the knowledge-based view of the firm in order to explore how firms govern transactions that involve spillovers, which can be defined as benefits or costs that accrue to one or both of the parties involved. Both kinds of spillovers such as positive reputational spillovers and negative knowledge spillovers were examined.

Toward a political conception of corporate responsibility: business and society seen from a habermasian perspective

The limitations of studies on corporate social responsibility (CSR) and a new theory based on Jurgen Habermas theory of democracy are highlighted. The key role played by the business firm in globalization of society is presented.
