Strategies for managing human resource diversity: from resistance to learning

Article Abstract:

There is no single best way for managing human resource diversity. An organization's approach to managing diversity depends on the degree of pressure for diversity, managerial attitudes and the kind of diversity concerned. Organizations can utilize a framework that links executives' perspectives and priorities to effectively manage workforce diversity, performance and organizational conditions. The framework supports the premise that different steps in managing diversity are correlated and can occur simultaneously.

Give your work teams time and training

Article Abstract:

The success of work teams significantly relies on how well members have been trained to do their specific tasks. One of the most challenging aspects of the training process is creating a sense of trust among team members. This, challenge, however, may be addressed by encouraging their participation on various work initiatives and soliciting their ideas on a number of corporate issues. Managers must likewise provide each team member with adequate amount of time to adjust with other constituents of the group.

A model for team-based organizational performance

Article Abstract:

A team-based organization performance model is used to provide a perspective for organizations that utilize numerous teams. Some of the most important factors which team-based organizations must resolve are formation, coordination of pieces, dependability, ensuring reliable connections between parts, focus, targeting the direction and goals and accountability. These factors are explained and illustrated using concrete examples from the experiences of various firms.
