Telephone call centers are a growing service industry. Burnie, Tasmania, is opening a call center that will cost $3 million to build and create 240 jobs. Telephone call centers make and take calls for its clients. Client corporations include banks for telephone banking services, computer software companies for help desks and utility companies for billing and customer services.

Honeywell is brains of new Asian airports

Article Abstract:

Honeywell Australia has contracts to provide equipment management systems at new airports under construction at Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur. At the Hong Kong airport, air conditioning controls for the 1.3-kilometer-long passenger terminal will cost about $A12.3 million. The Kuala Lumpur airport, which is being constructed in two phases, is expected to open in Sep 1998.
