The flip side of downsizing

Article Abstract:

Statistics show that the US economy is creating more jobs than are being eliminated. Between 1991 and 1996, there was a net increase of about 1.5 million new jobs. Pessimism about the job market persists, because many of these new jobs are created by small firms that get little media attention.
