Market learning and radical innovation: a cross case comparison of eight radical innovation projects

Article Abstract:

Case studies on radical innovation projects convey that the market-related issues that are raised during a project differ by level of development, and they differ from the issues that project teams usually raise during an incremental new product development undertaking. The projects utilize different methods for lowering market uncertainty, including launching the product to the most accepted market and employing a strategic ally to serve as a middleman between the project team and the marketplace.
