A Steiner arborescence model for the feeder reconfiguration in electric distribution networks

Article Abstract:

A method of evolving a radial configuration for an electrical distribution network to minimize the losses due to Joule effect is presented. For the purpose feeder reconfiguration problem is deemed as a Steiner arborescence problem, which the model separates into two quadratic functions. The problem is then resolved by a mixed-integer quadratic programming solver.

Solving a fuel delivery problem by heuristic and exact approaches

Article Abstract:

The case of a company that delivers different types of fuel to set of fuel pumps is described. The computational results are reported, and the exact approach shows low computation time for the real instances provided by the company.
