A framework for decision support systems for scheduling problems

Article Abstract:

A framework is developed to allow conflict resolution for scheduling problems using decision support systems. A problem base management system is incorporated into the decision support system and takes input from various units in the network. The problem base management system employs a heuristic solution procedure to optimize options in scheduling problems. The scheduling solution still requires some research on the type of Group Decision Support Systems and Group Support Technology to support the development of the scheduling resolution system.
