A new assignment rule to improve seed points algorithms for the continuos k-center problem

Article Abstract:

A new assignment rule (NAR), by computational method, has been shown to improve the running times and the quality of the solutions produced. The NAR obtained a new class of seed points algorithms for the k-center problem in Rn. The new class is distinct from the conventional class of seed points of algorithms in the manner the points are assigned to each seed point. Majority of the algorithms have linear complexity in the number of points and produce solutions with objective values within two times the optimal value.

DECOPOL- codes for decomposing a polygon into convex subpolygons

Article Abstract:

DECOPOL has been cited as an efficient software program that offers robust benefits in decomposing a polygon into convex subpolygons. DECOPOL is based on the concept of "divide-and-conquer" scheme, which sets off the decomposition process from an initial vertex. Although the proposed program features minor weaknesses, DECOPOL outlines 12 various methods of decomposing polygons.
