PriceWaterhouseCoopers Corporate Finance and Investment Banking Services was the adviser to Doncaster-based plastic pipes manufacturer Polypipes when it received a 337 million pounds sterling takeover offer from IMI in April 1999. The success of the takeover confirms that Polypipe's Leeds-based adviser has had considerable success in the public company advisory market, traditionally dominated by London merchant banks.
