Doing deals in the regions

Article Abstract:

In 1997, the north-west of England reported 96 buyouts, representing an 88% rise on 1995. The region currently accounts for 14% of the UK management buy-out and buy-in market. It is argued that regional presence by private equity companies is essential as regional offices are inevitably better equipped to originate deals and form a relationship with regional corporates.
