A tabu search algorithm for self-healing ring network design

Article Abstract:

A tabu search heuristic for the design of self-healing rings (SHRs), to protect the transmission of telecommunication demands, in a zonal network is proposed. This search has demonstrated its efficiency by improving significantly upon the best solutions that could be found with a greedy constructive heuristic over a large set of real and randomly generated instances.

Solving spread spectrum radar polyphase code design problem by tabu search and variable neighborhood search

Article Abstract:

The basic variable neighborhood search (VNS) heuristic procedure for solving the Spread Spectrum Radar polyphase Code Design problem uses two to three parameters where as tabu search uses more than five parameters. The results of a comparison between the tabu search and VNS heuristics are presented.
