Analysts pick Advanced Info: stock expected to benefit from Thai recovery

Article Abstract:

Stock analysts single out Advanced Info Services PCL, Thailand's largest cellular phone operator, as the stock of choice for investors amid the country's nascent economic recovery. Analysts point to the fact that the company outperformed the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) owing to its solid finances, good management and the recovery in consumer spending. Advanced Info's shares have surged 49% as fuelled by purchases by foreign funds, compared with the 35% rise of the SET Index since the beginning of 1999. They thus predict that the stock is well-positioned to benefit from an increase in local demand.
