Advances in steel construction

Article Abstract:

There are two possible opportunities for steel volumetric housing construction in the UK, according to Davis Langdon Consultancy managing partner James Meikle. One is in the 15,000 to 20,000 unit self-build sector, while the other is in the same top-of-the-market sector that pays for replacement housing in Japan. Meikle believes that it is possible to argue that steel construction is required where prefabrication and pre-assembly are necessary.
