Alex Gravin, the vice-president for planning, design, and development at the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation, in an inspirational tale, describes the process of the competition for the World Trade Center site. He makes the necessary reference to bureaucratic decisions, meetings and regulations palatable in his speech and gives an insight into the human scale of the story.
