Alitalia is approved for Air France talks

The board of air carrier Linee Aeree Italiane S.p.A. has approved the launch of exclusive negotiations with Air France KLM S.A. regarding the sale of the Italian airline to Air France, but government officials are expected to oppose the deal in favor of keeping the airline Italian owned. Italy's Air One S.p.A. has expressed interest in buying Alitalia.

Three Italian furniture makers hope to create a global luxury powerhouse
