All change at the post

Article Abstract:

Swiss post offices will expand its scope of service to include foreign exchange dealing and other financial services. Jean-Noel Rey, the post office Director General, initiated the diversification strategy as a means of competing with financial institutions and, hence, claiming their own shares from the retail market. Such a move would surely improve profitability as the post office plans to charge a 1% commission from forex transactions. Customers will also be able to purchase investment funds from the post office counter.
