Alpine manoeuvrings

Article Abstract:

Sikorsky has received a contract for nine new utility helicopters from the Austrian Army. The deal for the S-70 Black Hawk has a value of 2.9 billion Austrian schillings against Eurocopter's 2.5 billion ATS bid with the Cougar Mk1. The Austrian S-70 will be broadly similar to the new UH-60L standard as far as cockpit instrumentation, electronics and engines are concerned. The choice of the S-70 Black Hawk pleases army pilots who publicly voiced their support for the US type.
