Amapi gets serious

Article Abstract:

TGS's computer-aided design package Amapi is known for some of its unusual aspects, yet it is a useful tool. It does not have the advanced animation of some packages, but its logical approach is of particular benefit to users who are new to 3D modelling. The Assistant Palette guides new users, the work bench in the modelling tool helps overcome the orientation problems sometimes experienced in 3D modelling, and the data window offers helpful information about the object currently selected.
