View of Japan-China territorial row is unchanged one generation later

Article Abstract:

Chinese outrage over Japan's claim to the Diaoyu/Senkaku Islands is rooted in the anger many still feel over Japanese atrocities in World War II. Many Chinese, whether in Taiwan, Hong Kong or mainland China, grew up hearing first-hand accounts of Japanese brutality. Although the Japanese government has not been very assertive in the present dispute, majority of Chinese see it as a symbol of resurgent Japanese militarism.

A new army marches to tune of service sector

Article Abstract:

China's service sector lags behind agriculture and industry in terms of overall growth, with the advertising industry being the sole bright performer in the sector. Moreover, the service sector accounts for only 25% of overall GDP, compared to Taiwan's 58% and South Korea's 63%. However, some experts believe that China's service sector is larger than it seems to be.
