"Austron" beschlossen
Article Abstract:
The Austrian government has approved the construction of a Sch 4bn neutron research centre around Wiener Neustadt. The Austron centre with a spallation neutron source and a 200-metre accelerator will carry out research into solid bodies, liquids and biological structures. Two-thirds of the funding is to be sought from foreign partners. The realisation of Austron means that another research centre project, crystal research in Vienna or Tyrol, is abandoned.
