Bax Global India Ltd is starting its first logistics centre in Bangalore in 1999. It is a 100 percent subsidiary of Bax Global Inc. It plans to focus on the ocean freight business. It has a market share of 4.5 percent in India. It will focus on overseas concierge selling where financial risks are low. It plans to offer collect and pre-paid business. It has bought Overseas Cargo Services Pvt Ltd of Delhi, which was dealing in customs clearance. It has a licence to handle cargo cleared by the customs department in Delhi and has applied for the same in Mumbai and Bangalore. (rk/kvr)

K7 Computing Pvt Ltd, an anti-virus company based at Chennai, has released a public domain cure for Melissa, a new e-mail virus that has been spreading very fast in the last few days. The cure for the virus can be availed at the company's website www.k7computing.com. The virus is a Word macro virus and infects Word documents. The virus has already affected several corporate networks in the US in the last few days. (khr)
