FINANCIERS GEAR UP TO RIDE 2-WHEELER WAVE
Article Abstract:
Companies that finance 2-wheelers are expected to grow by 10-12 percent in 1998-99 compared to 15 percent growth in 1996-97. Compared to the car and commercial vehicle financing segment, the 2-wheeler financing segment has better prospects of business growth. The 20th Century Finance is tying up with a 2- wheeler manufacturing firm. The deal will be finalised in mid- October 1998. Apple Finance and Kotak Mahindra Primus plan to enter the 2-wheeler financing segment. Weizmann Finance is a new entrant in this segment. (gs)
