BP enters Alberta boom with $5.5 billion deal

Article Abstract:

Canada's Husky Energy Inc. and UK oil firm BP PLC have agreed to an investment strategy and investment swap via a 50-50 joint venture. The deal involves a $5.5 bil investment during the next seven years, and represents BP's entry into Canadian oil sands. Husky in turn will have access to BP's refinery in Toledo, Ohio.

China approves feasibility study for oil venture
