Backbones and heads provide extra cash

Article Abstract:

AM Sigurdsson designed a Mesa fish processing machine, Mesa 850, which allows the users to make use of the byproducts like backbones and heads which would normally be dumped. The machine removes swim bladders of the fish and helps in the stripping of meat from the backbones in one piece. Mesa 900 extracts collar bones, tongue and cheeks and discards the gills and lower jaw from the head of the fish.
